Monroe Bearcats (Monroe, WA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lynnwood Royals (Bothell, WA), 67-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Monroe upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Snohomish (Snohomish, WA) to play the Panthers in a 2A/3A Wesco bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Snohomish lost 66-32 in their recent league bout against Arlington (Arlington, WA)

Next up, the Royals play the Ingraham Rams (Seattle, WA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Lynnwood will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 47-44 league win over Franklin (Seattle, WA).
