Mississippi High School Basketball - Magnolia Heights overwhelmed by Starkville Academy

The Starkville Academy Volunteers basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Magnolia Heights Chiefs to 31 in the Volunteers league victory on Friday.

The Volunteers now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pillow Academy for a MAIS 5A District 1 contest on Tuesday, December 13. Starkville Academy will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 45-44 non-league win over Leake Academy (Madden, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-3.

The Chiefs (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Heritage Academy (Columbus, MS). The Patriots come into the MAIS 5A District 1 contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Heritage Academy triumphed over Washington (Greenville, MS), 51-21, in a league contest.
