McLeod Longhorns (McLeod, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pewitt Brahmas (Omaha, TX), 52-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McLeod upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Harts Bluff (Mt. Pleasant, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Harts Bluff won 58-56 in their recent non-league bout against Caldwell (Caldwell, TX)

Next up, the Brahmas play the Linden-Kildare Tigers (Linden, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Pewitt will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 1-9 record after their 62-19 non-league loss to Waskom (Waskom, TX).
