Pocahontas Redskins (Pocahontas, AR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Walnut Ridge Bobcats (Walnut Ridge, AR), 47-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pocahontas upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Redskins host Batesville (Batesville, AR) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Batesville won 57-51 in their recent non-league bout against Wynne (Wynne, AR)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Hoxie Mustangs (Hoxie, AR) in a 3A Region 2 bout, on Friday, December 16. Walnut Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
