Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Western Beaver Golden Beavers (Industry, PA), 62-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Riverside upgrades its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Mercer (Mercer, PA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Mercer won 57-46 in their recent non-league bout against Wilmington (New Wilmington, PA)

Next up, the Golden Beavers play the New Brighton Lions (New Brighton, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 12. Western Beaver will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 71-34 non-league loss to Carlynton (Carnegie, PA).
