St. Benedict's Prep Gray Bees (Newark, NJ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host St. Mary's Spartans (Lynn, MA), 66-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Benedict's Prep upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Gray Bees host Life Center Academy (Burlington, NJ) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, December 12. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 4-3.

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Cardinal Spellman Cardinals (Brockton, MA) in a Catholic Central - Large bout, on Monday, December 12. St. Mary's will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
