Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting South Lakes Seahawks (Reston, VA), 61-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Herndon upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA) to play the Generals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Generals come into the bout with a record of 3-0. Washington-Liberty won 62-35 in their recent non-league bout against Centreville (Clifton, VA)

Next up, the Seahawks play the Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA) in a non-league match, on Monday, December 19. South Lakes will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
