Yucaipa Thunderbirds (Yucaipa, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Murrieta Mesa Rams (Murrieta, CA), 2-0 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Yucaipa upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to JW North (Riverside, CA) to play the Huskies in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 1-1. JW North won 51-40 in their recent non-league bout against Ramona (Riverside, CA)

Next up, the Rams play the Chaparral Pumas (Temecula, CA) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Murrieta Mesa will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
