Capital City Cavaliers (Jefferson City, MO) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Russellville Indians (Russellville, MO), 59-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Capital City upgrades its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Blue Valley West (Stilwell, KS) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Blue Valley West won 43-31 in their recent non-league bout against Mill Valley (Shawnee, KS)

Next up, the Indians play the St. Elizabeth Hornets (St. Elizabeth, MO) in a ShowMe bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Russellville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 54-32 non-league win over Crocker (Crocker, MO).
