In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Coronado Mustangs basketball team scored a tight 55-48 triumph over the Estacado Matadors.
In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A Region I District 4 match, on Tuesday, December 13. Coronado will attempt to move on its 13-5 season record. The Plainsmen enter the match with a 12-2 record after their 63-54 non-league win over Amarillo (Amarillo, TX).
With the defeat, Estacado moves to 11-5 on the year. The Matadors travel to Lubbock (Lubbock, TX) to meet the Westerners in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 13. The Westerners enter the match with a record of 9-3.
