Nebraska High School Basketball - Meridian knocked off by Cross County

December 9, 2022: Stromsburg, NE 68666

The Cross County Cougars basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Meridian Mustangs to 30 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stanton for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Cross County will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 54-45 non-league loss to West Point-Beemer (West Point, NE). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-3.

The Mustangs (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Sterling (Sterling, NE). The Jets enter the D1 District 1 contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Sterling ran past Diller-Odell (Odell, NE), 69-46, in a non-league contest.
