Franklin Hornets (Franklin, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting East Iberville Tigers (St. Gabriel, LA), 41-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Franklin upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Hornets host Catholic - N.I. (New Iberia, LA) to play the Panthers in a 2A District 8 bout on Friday, December 16. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-7.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Capitol Lions (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league game, on Monday, December 12. East Iberville will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Lions enter the game with a 0-3 record after their 52-20 non-league loss to Assumption (Napoleonville, LA).
