The Mount Desert Island Trojans basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting John Bapst Memorial Crusaders to 46 in the Trojans league triumph on Friday.

The Trojans now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ellsworth for a B North contest on Thursday, December 15. Mount Desert Island will meet a Eagles team coming off a 89-16 league win over Mount View (Thorndike, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.

The Crusaders (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Washington Academy (East Machias, ME). The Raiders enter the B North contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Washington Academy nudged Narraguagus (Harrington, ME), 46-26, in a non-league contest.
