The LaPoynor Flyers basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the visiting Whitney Wildcats to 12 in the Flyers non-league victory on Friday.

The Flyers now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Miller Grove for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29.

The Wildcats (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Longview (Longview, TX). The Lobos come into the non-league contest with a 13-3 record. In their last contest, Longview triumphed over Eustace (Eustace, TX), 59-24, in a non-league contest.
