Whiting Oilers (Whiting, IN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lighthouse College Prep Academy Lions (Gary, IN), 65-7 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Whiting upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Oilers travel to Valparaiso (Valparaiso, IN) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 9-0. Valparaiso won 59-27 in their recent league bout against Crown Point (Crown Point, IN)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Michigan City Wolves (Michigan City, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Lighthouse College Prep Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 61-27 league loss to Lake Central (St. John, IN).
