Shakopee Sabers (Shakopee, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Waconia Wildcats (Waconia, MN), 49-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Shakopee upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Sabers travel to Apple Valley (Apple Valley, MN) to clash with the Eagles in a AAAA Section 3 bout on Thursday, January 12. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-3.

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Eden Prairie Eagles (Eden Prairie, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Waconia will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 83-77 non-league win over Benilde-St. Margaret's (St. Louis Park, MN).
