Santa Rosa Lions (Santa Rosa, NM) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Belen Eagles (Belen, NM), 56-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Santa Rosa upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Lions host McCurdy (Espanola, NM) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 1-1. McCurdy lost 59-21 in their recent non-league bout against Academy for Technology and The Classics (Santa Fe, NM)

Next up, the Eagles play the Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Belen will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
