The Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC), 48-40 in Friday's non-league test.

The Warriors (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks go into the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Monroe notched a victory over Piedmont (Monroe, NC), 44-35, in a non-league test.

The Comets now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Moravian Prep for a non-league test on Saturday, December 17.
