Kaneland Knights (Maple Park, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL), 61-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Kaneland upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Knights host Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL) to play the Skyhawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Skyhawks come into the bout with a record of 6-1.

The Indians (0-7) will now prepare for their battle against Timothy Christian (Elmhurst, IL). The Trojans come into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.
