Pennsylvania High School Basketball - McDowell fells Benedictine

December 9, 2023: Erie, PA 16506

McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Benedictine Bengals (Cleveland, OH), 57-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McDowell upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Trojans travel to Brashear (Pittsburgh, PA) to clash with the Bulls in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Bulls go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Brashear lost 61-32 in their recent non-league bout against West Allegheny (Imperial, PA)

Next up, the Bengals play the Lake Catholic Cougars (Mentor, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Benedictine will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 62-49 non-league win over SPIRE Institute (Geneva, OH).
