The Newell Irrigators (Newell, SD) basketball knocked off the visiting Bison Cardinals (Bison, SD), 68-50 in Saturday's league test.
The Irrigators (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Lead-Deadwood (Lead, SD). The Golddiggers go into the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Lead-Deadwood went down by Harding County (Buffalo, SD), 66-52, in a non-league test.
The Cardinals now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Faith for a B Region 8 test on Thursday, December 14. Bison will encounter a Longhorns squad coming off a 78-45 non-league win over Kadoka (Kadoka, SD). The Longhorns record now stands at 2-0.
