Okemah Panthers (Okemah, OK) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Bristow Pirates (Bristow, OK), 46-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Okemah upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Oktaha (Oktaha, OK) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Oktaha won 48-37 in their recent non-league bout against Panama (Panama, OK)

Next up, the Pirates play the Mannford Pirates (Mannford, OK) in a Tulsa Seven bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Bristow will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 46-38 non-league loss to Fairland (Fairland, OK).
