Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Jeannette Jayhawks (Jeannette, PA), 62-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Burrell upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Bucs host St. Joseph (Natrona Heights, PA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 0-4. St. Joseph lost 83-41 in their recent non-league bout against Springdale (Springdale, PA)

Next up, the Jayhawks play the Steel Valley Ironmen (Munhall, PA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 13. Jeannette will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record.
