Caravel Buccaneers (Bear, DE) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Polytech Panthers (Woodside, DE), 56-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Caravel upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Buccaneers host Elkton (Elkton, MD) to play the Golden Elks in a non-league bout on Monday, December 11. The Golden Elks go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Elkton won 68-28 in their recent non-league bout against North East (North East, MD)

Next up, the Panthers play the Milford Buccaneers (Milford, DE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Polytech will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 65-45 non-league loss to St. Mark's (Wilmington, DE).
