Carmel Padres (Carmel, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Hilmar Yellowjackets (Hilmar, CA), 85-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Carmel upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Padres travel to Menlo School (Atherton, CA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 1-2. Menlo School lost 58-50 in their recent non-league bout against Santa Teresa (San Jose, CA)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Ceres Bulldogs (Ceres, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Hilmar will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 68-41 non-league win over Central Valley (Ceres, CA).
