In Saturday's non-league match, the host Cheektowaga Warriors basketball team scored a tight 56-50 triumph over the Salamanca Warriors.

In their next game, the Warriors meet the West Seneca West Warhawks (West Seneca, NY) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 15. Cheektowaga will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record.

With the defeat, Salamanca moves to 0-1 on the year. The Warriors host Williamsville South (Williamsville, NY) to meet the Billies in a non-league match on Wednesday, December 13.
