The Clay Panthers basketball team (Portsmouth, OH), was toppled 49-41 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Southern Tornadoes (Racine, OH)
The Tornadoes now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waterford for a Tri-Valley II battle on Friday, December 15. Southern will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 68-58 league loss to Federal Hocking (Stewart, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-2.
The Panthers (0-3) will now prepare for their battle against Eastern (Beaver, OH). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Eastern beat Green (Franklin Furnace, OH), 63-44, in a non-league battle.
