Cuero Gobblers (Cuero, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Woodsboro Eagles (Woodsboro, TX), 81-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cuero upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Gobblers travel to Edna (Edna, TX) to play the Cowboys in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Edna won 48-40 in their recent non-league bout against Van Vleck (Van Vleck, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the McMullen County Cowboys (Tilden, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Woodsboro will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Cowboys go into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 37-20 non-league win over Freer (Freer, TX).
