The Lafayette Lions basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting David Thibodaux Bulldogs to 32 in the Lions non-league victory on Saturday.
The Lions now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Breaux Bridge for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Lafayette will battle a Tigers team coming off a 83-51 non-league loss to Northside (Lafayette, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-6.
The Bulldogs (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Sulphur (Sulphur, LA). The Golden Tors come into the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Sulphur was defeated by Cypress Ridge (Houston, TX), 59-55, in a non-league contest.
