DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host East Moline United Panthers (East Moline, IL), 57-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, DeKalb upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Barbs host Dixon (Dixon, IL) to play the Dukes & Duchesses in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Dukes & Duchesses go into the bout with a record of 8-0. Dixon won 63-44 in their recent non-league bout against Alleman (Rock Island, IL)

Next up, the Panthers play the Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL) in a Western Big 6 bout, on Friday, December 15. East Moline United will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record.
