Edmondson-Westside Red Storm (Baltimore, MD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host McKinley Tech Trainers (Washington, DC), 62-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Edmondson-Westside upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Red Storm travel to Mergenthaler Vo-Tech (Baltimore, MD) to play the Mustangs in a Baltimore City bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Mergenthaler Vo-Tech won 62-59 in their recent league bout against Patterson (Baltimore, MD)

Next up, the Trainers play the Bell Griffins (Washington, DC) in a DCIAA bout, on Monday, December 11. McKinley Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Griffins go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 78-52 non-league loss to Northwestern (Hyattsville, MD).
