New Mexico High School Basketball - Mesilla Valley Christian School nips Elida

Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Elida Tigers (Elida, NM), 56-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mesilla Valley Christian School upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The SonBlazers travel to Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 11. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Tigers play the Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 14. Elida will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 64-46 non-league win over Animas (Animas, NM).
