Hollister Haybalers (Hollister, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA), 40-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hollister upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Haybalers host Scotts Valley (Scotts Valley, CA) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Scotts Valley won 55-50 in their recent non-league bout against Monte Vista Christian (Watsonville, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the St. Francis Sharks (Watsonville, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Gilroy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Sharks go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 66-58 non-league loss to Soquel (Soquel, CA).
