Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Girard Indians (Girard, OH), 55-25 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hickory upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to New Castle (New Castle, PA) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Hurricanes come into the bout with a record of 3-1. New Castle won 71-49 in their recent non-league bout against Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA)

Next up, the Indians play the South Range Raiders (Canfield, OH) in a Northeast 8 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Girard will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 48-46 non-league win over Chaney (Youngstown, OH).
