Texas High School Basketball - Gladewater knocked off by Mount Vernon

The Mount Vernon Tigers basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Gladewater Bears to 44 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pewitt for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Mount Vernon will meet a Brahmas team coming off a 53-39 non-league loss to White Oak (White Oak, TX). The Brahmas record now stands at 7-8.
The Bears (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Hughes Springs (Hughes Springs, TX). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Hughes Springs was outscored by Hemphill (Hemphill, TX), 78-48, in a non-league contest.
