Mountain View Yellowjackets (Mountain View, AR) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Highland Rebels (Hardy, AR), 53-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mountain View upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Melbourne (Melbourne, AR) to play the Bearkatz in a 3A Region 2 bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Bearkatz come into the bout with a record of 2-4.

Next up, the Rebels play the Wynne Yellowjackets (Wynne, AR) in a 4A Region 3 bout, on Monday, December 11. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 71-46 league loss to Westside (Jonesboro, AR).
