California High School Basketball - Saint Mary's edges Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory

The Saint Mary's Panthers (Albany, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish (San Francisco, CA), 52-49 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Panthers (2-3) will now prepare for their test against El Cerrito (El Cerrito, CA). The Gauchos go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, El Cerrito got by Richmond (Richmond, CA), 98-20, in a league test.

The Fightin' Irish now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Terra Nova for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 84-48 non-league loss to Sacred Heart Prep (Atherton, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-3.
