In Saturday's league outing, the Schaeffer Academy Lions (Rochester, MN) basketball squad edged the host Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons (Wabasha, MN), by a count of 61-54.

With the victory, Schaeffer Academy upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Kingsland (Spring Valley, MN) to play the Knights in a A Section 1 bout on Monday, December 11. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Kingsland won 60-39 in their recent non-league bout against Crestwood (Cresco, IA)

Next up, the Falcons play the Chatfield Gophers (Chatfield, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Wabasha-Kellogg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Gophers come into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 45-44 non-league loss to Osage (Osage, IA).
