South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Schaumburg Saxons (Schaumburg, IL), 44-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Elgin upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Storm travel to Streamwood (Streamwood, IL) to play the Sabres in a Upstate Eight bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Sabres go into the bout with a record of 1-7. Streamwood lost 62-56 in their recent league bout against Elgin (Elgin, IL)

Next up, the Saxons play the Bremen Braves (Midlothian, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Schaumburg will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Braves go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 57-55 league win over Argo (Summit, IL).
