Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Andrew Thunderbolts (Tinley Park, IL) and the visiting Plainfield North Tigers (Plainfield, IL), saw Andrew's basketball squad hold off Plainfield North by a tally of 48-44.
With the victory, Andrew improves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Thunderbolts travel to Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL) to confront the Knights in a SouthWest Suburban - Red challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 9-1.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Yorkville Foxes (Yorkville, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie - West challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Plainfield North will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Foxes come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 60-53 league loss to Oswego East (Oswego, IL).
