Northwood Gators (Lena, LA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Washington Lions (Shreveport, LA), 45-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Northwood upgrades its record to 3-7 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Wossman (Monroe, LA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Monday, December 11. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 8-2. Wossman won 92-50 in their recent non-league bout against Marksville (Marksville, LA)

Next up, the Lions play the Bolton Bears (Alexandria, LA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 51-41 non-league loss to Avoyelles (Moreauville, LA).
