Calhoun Sandcrabs (Port Lavaca, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Yorktown Wildcats (Yorktown, TX), 37-31 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Calhoun upgrades its record to 3-12 on the season. The Sandcrabs travel to Jones (Beeville, TX) to clash with the Trojans in a 4A Region IV District 30 bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Jones won 42-31 in their recent non-league bout against Southwest (San Antonio, TX)
Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Woodsboro Eagles (Woodsboro, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 31 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Yorktown will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 43-10 non-league loss to El Campo (El Campo, TX).
