Lewis Academy Watchmen (Newberg, OR) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Dufur Rangers (Dufur, OR), 44-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lewis Academy upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Watchmen travel to Perrydale (Amity, OR) to play the Pirates in a 1A Casco bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 1-3.

Next up, the Rangers play the Trout Lake Mustangs (Trout Lake, WA) in a Freelance bout, on Friday, December 15. Dufur will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 51-18 non-league win over Ione/Arlington (Ione, OR).
