Texas High School Basketball - Eagle Pass can't hold off St. Anthony

December 9, 2023: Eagle Pass, TX 78852

The St. Anthony Yellowjackets basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Eagle Pass Eagles to 44 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host La Vernia for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. St. Anthony will battle a Bears team coming off a 55-47 non-league loss to San Marcos HomeSchool (San Marcos, TX). The Bears record now stands at 15-4.

The Eagles (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against South San Antonio West (San Antonio, TX). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, South San Antonio West nudged Luling (Luling, TX), 45-32, in a non-league contest.
