The Grapevine Mustangs basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host Lockhart Lions to 34 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Saturday.
The Mustangs now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Belton for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 9. Grapevine will battle a Broncos team coming off a 49-38 non-league loss to Fredericksburg (Fredericksburg, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 6-6.
The Lions (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Hays (Buda, TX). The Hawks come into the 5A Region IV District 25 contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, Hays was defeated by Southlake Carroll (Southlake, TX), 56-54, in a non-league contest.
