Onalaska Hilltoppers (Onalaska, WI) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mauston Golden Eagles (Mauston, WI), 65-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Onalaska upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to Holmen (Holmen, WI) to play the Vikings in a Mississippi Valley bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Holmen won 55-30 in their recent league bout against Sparta (Sparta, WI)

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Viroqua Blackhawks (Viroqua, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Mauston will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record.
