The Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) basketball nipped the visiting Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES (Mount Carmel, PA), 47-44 in Saturday's league test.
The Indians (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Williams Valley (Tower City, PA). The Vikings go into the non-league test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Williams Valley got by Line Mountain (Herndon, PA), 51-15, in a non-league test.
The RED TORNADOES now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Shikellamy for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Mount Carmel will encounter a Braves squad coming off a 53-31 non-league win over Mifflinburg (Mifflinburg, PA). The Braves record now stands at 3-1.
