The Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) basketball crushed the visiting Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM), 51-12 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Elks/Elkettes (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Bobcats go into the non-league test with a 4-0 record. In their last test, Bloomfield walloped Shiprock (Shiprock, NM), 57-18, in a non-league test.
The Warriors now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Belen for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Socorro will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 65-43 non-league loss to Lovington (Lovington, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 3-2.
