Waterford Wildcats (Waterford, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Linsly Cadets (Wheeling, WV), 54-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Waterford upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Trimble (Glouster, OH) to play the Tomcats in a Tri-Valley - Hocking bout on Thursday, December 14. The Tomcats come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Trimble lost 47-30 in their recent non-league bout against Lakewood (Hebron, OH)

Next up, the Cadets play the Warren Warriors (Vincent, OH) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Linsly will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 56-45 non-league loss to Bloom-Carroll (Carroll, OH).
