Christ the King Gladiators (Chicago, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Walther Christian Academy Broncos (Melrose Park, IL), 25-22 in a league bout.

With the victory, Christ the King upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Gladiators travel to Catalyst-Maria (Chicago, IL) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Broncos play the Woodlands Academy Wildcats (Lake Forest, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 14. Walther Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 42-8 non-league loss to Chicago Hope Academy (Chicago, IL).
